เริ่มแล้ว “MOTOR EXPO 2016” เปิดตัวรถใหม่กว่า 10 รุ่น
ขวัญชัย ปภัสร์พงษ์ ประธานบริษัท สื่อสากล จำกัด และประธานจัดงาน “มหกรรมยานยนต์ ครั้งที่ 33” เปิดเผยว่า ปีนี้จัดงานภายใต้แนวคิด “เชื่อมโลก…เชื่อมคน ยานยนต์อัจฉริยะ” โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร.อรรชกา สีบุญเรือง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม เป็นประธานพิธีเปิดงานอย่างเป็นทางการ มีผู้ผลิตรถยนต์ร่วมงานจำนวน 37 แบรนด์ จาก 9 ประเทศ รถจักรยานยนต์ 21 แบรนด์ จาก 8 ประเทศ
“ในงานมีการจัดแสดงรถแนวคิด 3 คัน เปิดตัวรถใหม่กว่า 10 รุ่น และมีโปรโมชันพิเศษมากมาย สำหรับยอดจองภายในงานคาดว่าจะสูงถึง 50,000 คัน เนื่องจากสภาพเศรษฐกิจดีขึ้น อีกทั้งโครงการรถคันแรกได้ครบกำหนดการถือครอง 5 ปีแล้ว ส่วนยอดจองรถ BIG BIKE คาดว่าประมาณ 3,000 คัน และผู้ชมงาน 1.5 ล้านคน เม็ดเงินสะพัดในงานกว่า 5 หมื่นล้านบาท”
รถแนวคิดที่จัดแสดงในงาน ได้แก่ HYUNDAI ENDURO CONCEPT รถแนวคิดแบบครอสส์โอเวอร์ เอสยูวี 3 ประตู ขนาดกะทัดรัด รูปทรงปราดเปรียวเหมือน VELOSTER กระจังหน้าหกเหลี่ยม แต่งด้วยวัสดุโครเมียม พวงมาลัยคล้ายแฮนด์รถจักรยานยนต์ แผงหน้าโอบล้อมตัวผู้ขับ ติดตั้งเครื่องยนต์เบนซิน ไดเรคท์อินเจคชัน เทอร์โบ 4 สูบแถวเรียง ขนาด 2.0 ลิตร พร้อมเกียร์อัตโนมัติคลัทช์คู่ แบบเดียวกับ HYUNDAI TUCSON
MITSUBISHI XM CONCEPT XM มาจาก X อันหมายถึงคำว่า CROSSOVER ส่วนตัวอักษร M ย่อมาจาก MPV รวมกันแล้วหมายถึง รถแนวคิดเอมพีวี ครอสส์โอเวอร์ เอสยูวี ด้านหน้าดุดัน ซุ้มล้อขนาดใหญ่แบบรถเอสยูวี ห้องโดยสารจัดวางเบาะนั่ง 3 แถว รองรับผู้โดยสารได้ 7 ที่นั่ง จออินโฟเทนเมนท์บนแผงคอนโซล ในเวอร์ชันจำหน่ายจริงจะมาพร้อมเครื่องยนต์เบนซิน 1.5 ลิตร และระบบขับเคลื่อนล้อหน้า
NISSAN NAVARA ENGUARD CONCEPT รถแนวคิดกระบะกู้ภัยที่ นิสสัน แปลงโฉมรถกระบะ นาวารา รุ่นขับเคลื่อน 4 ล้อ ขึ้นมาโดยเฉพาะให้โป่งล้อมีขนาดใหญ่รับกับล้อที่กว้าง ตัวรถสูงกว่าเดิม 50 มม. เพิ่มไฟสีฟ้า BLUE STROBE บอกตำแหน่ง แต่งสีสะท้อนแสง FLUORESCENT GREEN ที่ล้อทั้ง 4 บันไดข้าง และหูลาก กระบะท้ายอัดแน่นด้วยอุปกรณ์ช่วยชีวิตมากมาย อีกทั้งมี ดโรน เพื่อส่งสัญญาณภาพในจุดที่รถเข้าไม่ถึง มายังจอภาพขนาด 20.5 นิ้ว
ภายในงานมี BIG BIKE ที่เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในเอเชียแปซิฟิค คือ TRIUMPH THRUXTON R T120 อีกทั้งมี BIG BIKE เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในประเทศไทยได้แก่ THE NEW KAWASAKI SUPERNAKED Z900 และ RYUKA BREAKOUT 150
ด้านรถยนต์ที่เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในประเทศไทยได้แก่ FOTON TUNLAND, THE NEW HYUNDAI TUCSON, JAGUAR F-PACE, NEW MG3, MG GS 1.5 TURBO, All NEW PEUGEOT 308 SW, THE NEW PORSCHE 718 CAYMAN, RAYTTLE 28 และ THE NEW VOLVO S90

The 33rd Motor Expo provides a stimulus to the year-end market. The public is invited to see concept cars, buy new cars and big bikes with special promotions. 50,000 cars are expected to be sold at the Expo.
Kwanchai Paphatphong, President of IMC and Organizing Chairman of “The 33rd Thailand International Motor Expo 2016” reveals that the Motor Expo this year, held under the concept of “Connect the World … Connect People: Smart Vehicles” has been honoured by Her Excellency Atchaka Sibunruang, Minister of industry in presiding over the Official Opening Ceremony. Participating car makers represent 37 brands from 9 countries, plus 21 brands of motorcycles from 8 countries.
“The Expo features 3 concept cars, more than 10 new car launches and a host of special promotions. Car bookings at the Expo are expected to reach 50,000 units because the economic climate has improved while the first car project has reached the 5-year ownership term. Big bike bookings are expected to be about 3,000 units and the number of visitors 1.5 million, generating over 50 billion Baht of total turnovers at the Motor Expo.”
The concept cars that will be exhibited at the Motor Expo comprise the HYUNDAI ENDURO CONCEPT, a compact 3-door Crossover SUV Concept with a sleek look similar to the Hyundai Veloster. Its signature hexagonal front grille is connected to the large fender with an aluminum blade. The steering wheel is designed to resemble the handle of a bike while the cabin gives the feeling of wrapping around the driver. The Concept is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged petrol engine with direct injection, mated to a dual clutch automatic transmission as in the Hyundai Tucson.
The MITSUBISHI XM CONCEPT where the letter X stands for CROSSOVER and letter M for MPV, so together XM signifies an SUV-MPV Crossover. The XM Concept features an aggressive front, large wheel arches like an SUV. The cabin layout provides 3 rows of 7 seats with an infotainment screen on the console. The production version will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine driving the front wheels.
The Nissan Navara EnGuard Concept is a rescue truck concept modified from the four-wheel-drive Navara pickup. Its overall ride height is raised by 50mm compared to the standard Navara and its wheel arches feature large bespoke overfenders. Emergency blue strobe lights and fluorescent green lights on all wheels, side steps and tow eyes are added. The load bed is packed with life-saving equipment including a drone to relay images of unreachable areas back to a 20.5-inch screen.
The Expo will also feature the Asia Pacific launch of TRIUMPH THRUXTON R T120 big bike and Thailand launch of KAWASAKI SUPERNAKED Z900 and RYUKA BREAKOUT 150.
While the Thailand launches of new cars will comprise FOTON TUNLAND, HYUNDAI TUCSON, JAGUAR F-PACE, MG3, MG GS 1.5 TURBO, PEUGEOT 308 SW, PORSCHE 718 CAYMAN, RAYTTLE 28 and VOLVO S90.
“The event this year has the full cooperation of all exhibitors of cars, bikes, audio equipment and accessories who decorate their booths beautifully and yet simply, while ensuring that their pretties are well-covered in the style befitting the current situation and the overall image of the Motor Expo”, Kwanchai said.
There is free express shuttle bus service to/from the Motor Expo during 12:00 – 22:00 hr on a weekday, 11:00 – 22:00 hr on Saturday, Sunday and official holiday as follows.

2) On Nut—IMPACT—On Nut. On Nut station Exit 2;
